I love treats that taste sweet, I love food that tastes delicious, and love to make it happen in the kitchen without spending tons of time. Like most of us, I feel like there is never enough time in the day to do everything I want to do, but I do love to cook and hang out with my kids, especially when they are volunteering to help me in the kitchen. With Valentines Day just around the corner and Hayli reminding me about it every five minutes, we found this really cool and easy to make recipe and made it happen. Hayli and I first talked about making cookies, but decided that we had done that many times over the years. Should we make a cake… nope, been there and done that too… Here is what we did:
We found this really cool and easy to make recipe that was definitely sweet, was fun and easy to make, looked appropriate for Valentines Day, and one we could do together. All we needed was a bag of Kraft Jet-Puffed S’moreMallows, a container of Dolci Frutta Hard Chocolate Shell melting chocolates, a small bag of Cinnamon Hearts, and some Holiday Valentine lollipop sticks. I paid for the ingredients and as usual, Hayli took over. We placed the lollipop sticks into the marshmallows, melted the chocolate pieces and dipped the marshmallows into the melted chocolate, sprinkled them with the cinnamon hearts, and they were good to go.
How cool are these? Wrap them in plastic wrap, attach a small card and share with her friends at school on Valentine’s Day. Unique and sweet like Hayli and a personal touch that says I care about you to her friends. A really cool thing to do with my child and one that we both enjoyed.
